Twelve Artificial Intelligence BIMStorm Sessions
XVII-17th Year of BIMStorms!
Two minutes condensed from three hours of workshops:
What is BIMStorm?
Embark on the ultimate training and learning experience with BIMStorm, a groundbreaking event that transcends traditional academic discussions to deliver hands-on, collaborative problem-solving in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
Dive into an open sandbox environment, where participants actively engage with real-world data from Building Information Modeling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), lifecycle data, digital twins, and asset management. This immersive experience bridges the gap between theory and practice, offering invaluable insights and tangible results that can be directly applied to real-world situations. BIMStorm fosters a culture of continuous learning and innovation, empowering participants to create a more sustainable, efficient, and resilient future in the asset management industry. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and shape the future of the built environment by harnessing the power of digital twins and asset management. History of BIMStorms |

The Building and Design industry has not kept pace with all the modern ways of accessing and sharing data. In the instant world of searching for information, ordering from a virtual superstore, or getting turn by turn directions on your phone while driving, the building industry still operates in a document-centric way even with BIM. The current state of the building industry is the equivalent of early telephone operators looking up printed information on paper, hand plugging wires and jacks and manually overseeing each step of a telephone operator to execute a long distance call.

BIMStorms bring the industry a step closer to the modern Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter age. Behind the scenes, driving much of the advanced functionalities we see in these modern technologies is something called “web services.” It is not essential for people to have a technical understanding of web services to participate in BIMStorms (although if you are a developer, we can provide more technical information). As an owner, architect, engineer, or app developer, join the BIMStorm to see how.

BIM Level 3 Web Services and Beyond Now!
Take part in experiencing how the next generation of Building Information Models (BIM) employ web services to manage, process, and use building data in advanced workflows that are incredibly simple for the end user! Observe or directly participate and experience how these to use these tools. No experience required, first-timers and novice BIM users are welcome as are Owners and members of the AEC industry.

Swarming in the Cloud Since 2007
The concept of a BIMStorm is straightforward. Assemble an international team of owners, architects, engineers, facility managers, and others to brainstorm on a specific architecturally themed problem using BIM and other technologies. Once the charrette/workshop is complete, the team can quickly disband as quickly as it formed. Using the power of the web, this is all possible without the need to board airplanes or reserve large office spaces to collaborate in the same room or around the world.
